Purpose-Built for Early Years
Birtle View isn't a building that has simply been adapted into a nursery. It has been purpose-built specifically for early years care and education.
Every room has been thoughtfully designed to create a calm, welcoming and inspiring environment where children have the space and freedom to explore.
Our Baby, Toddler and Preschool rooms provide age-appropriate environments and resources, helping children enjoy experiences suited to their individual stage of development as they progress through nursery.
With capacity for up to 104 children, Birtle View offers a substantial range of facilities while retaining the personal, nurturing atmosphere that is so important during a child's early years.
Large, Light-Filled Learning Spaces
Children spend a significant part of their early lives at nursery, so we believe their surroundings should feel uplifting, comfortable and inviting.
Our large, light-filled rooms provide plenty of space for children to play independently, learn alongside friends, get creative, investigate new ideas and simply enjoy being children.
Different activities and resources encourage sensory exploration, imaginative play, construction, creativity, early literacy and maths, communication, physical development and much more.
The environment evolves around the children too, with learning inspired by their interests, experiences and individual next steps.
Every Child Is an Individual
No two children develop in exactly the same way, which is why our approach begins with getting to know the individual child.
We take time to understand their personality, interests, abilities and needs, creating opportunities that encourage them to progress at a pace that's right for them.
Our child-centred approach promotes curiosity, creativity, communication and problem-solving while helping children develop confidence in their own ideas.
Sometimes that means offering encouragement to try something new. At other times, it means standing back and giving a child the time and space to investigate something for themselves.
It's all part of helping children become happy, capable and confident learners.
An Experienced and Passionate Team
A beautiful nursery building is important, but it's the people inside it who make the real difference.
Birtle View benefits from an experienced leadership team with a proven track record in providing high-quality early years education and care, supported by a highly trained and passionate staff team.
Our practitioners are committed to providing excellent standards of care, safeguarding and education while building warm, trusting relationships with the children they look after.
We want every child to have adults around them who know them well, celebrate their achievements, encourage their interests and provide reassurance whenever they need it.
Learning Through Play
For young children, play is serious learning.
Through playing, exploring and interacting with others, children begin to understand themselves and the world around them. They learn to communicate, negotiate, investigate, solve problems, take turns, make decisions and persevere when something doesn't quite work the first time.
Our curriculum is inspired by children's interests and supported by the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS), creating a balance between carefully planned learning opportunities and child-led discovery.
From messy and sensory play to stories, role play, creativity, construction and early maths and literacy, everyday nursery experiences are filled with opportunities to learn.
Preparing Children for School – and Life
School readiness is an important part of our Preschool provision, but being ready for school means much more than recognising letters or counting numbers.
We help children develop the confidence and independence they will need to take that next step successfully.
That includes encouraging them to communicate their needs, make choices, build friendships, follow routines, listen to others, tackle problems and become increasingly independent with everyday tasks.
By developing these important social, emotional and practical skills alongside early learning, we aim to send children on to school excited about what comes next.
Outdoor Learning and Exploration
Fresh air, movement and outdoor discovery form an important part of nursery life at Birtle View.
Our secure outdoor environment gives children opportunities to develop gross motor skills, explore nature and enjoy activities such as gardening, sand and water play.
Outdoor learning allows children to experience things differently. There is room to move, investigate, get messy and explore the changing natural world around them.
Activities can support every area of the EYFS while encouraging children to become active, curious and confident explorers.
Healthy Food for Growing Children
Busy nursery days need plenty of fuel.
Children at Birtle View can enjoy nutritious meals and snacks as part of their day, helping to support healthy growth and development while introducing them to a varied range of foods.
Mealtimes are also an important social part of the nursery day, giving children opportunities to sit together, talk, develop independence and build positive relationships with food.
Working in Partnership with Parents
Nobody knows your child quite like you do, which is why we believe parents and carers should be active partners in their nursery journey.
We aim to build open, positive relationships with our families from the very beginning, sharing information about children's experiences, learning and development and listening to what families tell us about life at home.
We use Parent Zone to help keep families connected with their child's nursery experience and provide an additional way of sharing important information and updates.
Our aim is simple: nursery and home working together to give every child the support they need to flourish.
A Nursery Designed Around Family Life
Birtle View is set within its own private grounds on Bury and Rochdale Old Road, making us conveniently placed for families in Birtle, Bamford, Norden, Heywood, Rochdale, Bury and the surrounding communities.
Easy parking helps make those busy morning drop-offs and afternoon collections that little bit simpler, while our location makes Birtle View particularly convenient for parents travelling between the surrounding towns for work.
It's a practical location without compromising on the environment we want children to experience once they step through the nursery doors.
Luxury Surroundings. Warm Family Values.
Birtle View may be brand new, but the values behind it are reassuringly traditional.
We believe children thrive when they feel safe, valued, listened to and encouraged. We believe parents deserve open communication and confidence in the people caring for their children. And we believe nursery should be filled with opportunities to laugh, explore, make friends, discover new things and build memories.
Beautiful surroundings help us create that environment.
It's the care inside them that makes Birtle View special.
Where little futures begin.
